Hello, there. I am going to introduce myself here, thus the "Introduction" title. I am new to the blogging world, but I think I will fit in well with the other narcissistic people out there. :) Mostly, I plan on using this blog because I greatly enjoy writing. I will probably put up ideas for short stories, or mention things of interest in my life. I love music, so it might pop it's dirty head in my work at some point. Also, food likes to make an appearance. I talk about inappropriate subject matter, but don't be afraid. I will not force you to read horrible thoughts or anything. Well, they may be horrible, and you may read them; just don't blame me for what you decide to read.
For starters, I love intelligent subject matter. I enjoy reading articles about how math relates to music, or how the economy is being effected by politics and vice versa. I have been called a "nerd," but I prefer not giving titles to people who don't deserve titles. My favorite twitter page is @OMGfacts. Techno- logy does not hold as much interest for me, but sometimes I do find the rare occasion to admire some new product. Mostly, I tend to gawk at what ridiculous things people are willing to spend money on these days.
Secondly, I love animals. Not just animals. I love dogs. Dogs are my favorite people. If I saw a puppy drowning and a baby drowning in the same pool of water, I would be hard-pressed to choose the baby over the puppy as far as saving lives. I don't know that I would be able to choose. I might have to just save both! Or die trying.
Thirdly, I love humorous things. Laughter is the best medicine. Never a truer statement has been spoken. When I have a problem, I instantly try to find a funny side. Like when I had to put my dog down, I remembered the really stupid but hilarious stuff she did before she died. Like running in front of the truck that broke her back.
Lastly, food is not a means of living for me. It is more of a pleasure that I partake in hourly. I enjoy gorging on potato chips and pizza. Never at the same time, of course. And as a Southern lady, I know how to refrain from spoiling my dinner. I love dinner! Especially on the many occasions that my mother has cooked it. Can't beat home cookin'.
There, that about covers it all. If I don't seem too pleasant, don't worry, I am a wonderful human being! Just ask the voices in my head. They love me. As do all my friends and family.
